We're back in town and ready for the 4th of July weekend  We'll be in Georgetown tomorrow and Round Rock on Saturday.  Bryan College Station customers can catch our special at Village Foods or some great barbecue on Sunday at Village Cafe.

Tonight, we're waiting for some much needed rain from Hurricane Alex.  It's sure hard to grow grass without rain and hard to grow grass-fed beef without grass!  Think wet thoughts for us, please.

OUR HEARTFELT THANKS:  Many thanks to all of you who sent kind words of comfort for the loss of my Mother last week.  We were really touched that so many people reached out to us during the past couple weeks.  What great customers we have!  We also owe a debt of gratitude to our nephew, Bruce, who held down the fort (and kept the garden watered) while we were away.

SATURDAY IS ROUND ROCK MARKET DAY:  We'll be at the Round Rock Farmer's Market this Saturday from 8-noon.  We'll be fully restocked with beef for your 4th of July barbecue! 

VILLAGE FOODS GROUND BEEF SPECIAL:  Although we won't be at the Bryan market this week, You can get our beef at Village Foods in Bryan.  Check out their 4th of July special on our ground beef, now through next Tuesday!  Village Foods does a great job of supporting a number of local producers.  They are my favorite place to shop for groceries! 

4th OF JULY LOCAVORE BARBECUE:  Featuring Wild Type Ranch Brisket.  Village Cafe in Bryan will be cooking brisket and other local foods Sunday afternoon.  We're planning to be there all afternoon for a "meet your farmer" opportunity.  Check out the Village Cafe website for details.

• Village Foods 1760 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, carries our beef in a special freezer for “Natural Beef”, across from the fresh meat case.  Village Foods has been great about working with us and other local suppliers.
• Dyer Mercantile (7801 E. Hwy. 29, Georgetown) carries our beef in the “Wild Type Ranch” chest freezer.  Regular hours are weekdays (except Wednesday) 10-7 pm , Saturdays 9 am-7 pm and Sundays 1 pm -6 pm.  Other hours may be available by appointment.
