WILD TYPE RANCH RANGE-RAISED BULLS

All bull calves are evaluated for structural integrity and growth along with their breeding values.  Only the very top calves get to become bulls.  The remainder form the core of our cuisine-quality grass-fed Angus beef program.  

Our bulls are pasture-raised and sold by private treaty.  We offer a pre-selection option on 4-8 month old bulls:  Come pick out your future herd sire and we will pasture-raise him through yearling, collect ultrasound scan data and perform a breeding soundness exam.  You get to pick him up when he is 14-16 months old and ready to go to work.

Wild Type Ranch bulls will sire muscular, growthy calves  that can produce well-marbled beef on grass or in the feedlot.  Our bulls will sire productive, moderate size replacement females because that is the kind of cows that raised them.

WILD TYPE RANCH COWS AND HEIFERS

We have a strict selection program based on growth, carcass, fertility and disposition.  Heifers that don't meet our criteria become part of our beef supply.  Mature cows that don't meet our genetic criteria become recipients.  We have a comprehensive herd health program: All breeding age females are tested for Johne's, Leukosis, Neospora, Brucellosis and BVD and are free of all currently known genetic defects.  Our calves and cows are all vaccinated with live virus vaccine for maximum disease resistance.

The females we have for sale are top breeding animals.  You can buy them with confidence that they will become a productive part of your herd.
